Sterile, pre-poured malt medium 100mm agar plates wrapped in Parafilm are perfect for at-home mycology! Forij agar formulations stick to pure malt extract agar medium without any added antibiotics or fillers. Our team of trained mycologists have sterilized the medium in pressure cookers prior to pouring into 100mm petri dishes in front of a laminar flow hood.
You can use these petri dishes to test for contamination in liquid cultures or grain, preserve cultures long-term, and isolate wild clones of mushrooms! Each petri dish is individually wrapped in parafilm and can survive for several months in your fridge.

Your lead times will reflect fungi incubation times, depending on which cultures we have readily available and which we need to expand for you when we receive an order.
